Only the named guests may stay in the pods, the total number of guests should not exceed the capacity of the pods. No visitors allowed. In order to comply with our insurers, we reserve the right to refuse occupation on arrival should the group members not correspond to the details given to us. In this situation we will return your payment, less the deposit.
We do not allow hen or stag parties. The waterless compost toilet tends to put them off…

Your cosy pod will be ready for you from 2pm on the day you arrive. Check out is 10am on the day you leave. Please leave the key on the work top. Our insurance stipulates that guests should not arrive or depart between 11pm and 7am.
Please ensure that the pod is left clean & tidy, respect the pod and its contents and you’ll be rewarded with a full and charmed life 😊 Please remove / recycle all rubbish and make sure the dishes are washed and put away. If any damage or accidents occur, please just let us know, you will be liable for covering the costs, and we may hold back your deposit. We reserve the right to do this.
Please look after the keys, they don’t like getting lost and we will make a charge for lost keys.
There is parking for 1 car/pod. You leave your vehicle at your own risk, we can’t accept any responsibility for any loss, damage or theft while on site. Having said that, we live in the middle of nowhere, we’ve got CCTV cameras up that cover the car park, the birds may leave you a wee present..
Site rules
We want everyone that visits to have a lovely, relaxing and unique experience. This part of Scotland is largely overlooked by the masses, so if you’re a 24hr party person, its best you look to a more urban location. If you want to get away from it all, count stars, walk, cycle, explore, read and play games… our site is what you need. So, we ask that you behave appropriately, keep noise to a minimum and enjoy the peace and quiet. No amplified music. Failure to adhere may result in us retaining your deposit.
Wood burner
The stove will keep you warm and cosy, but it needs a bit of love and must only burn accredited / ‘ready to burn’ logs, firelighters and kindling. We’ll give you some logs to get you going. The rules on what you can burn are strict, kiln dried logs produce more heat and less nasties, you must only burn logs that have been purchased on site. You can buy an extra firewood bag, that contains the kindling, firelighters, kiln dried logs and eco night brick to keep you warm, its £8 for a wood burner log kit. Please do not burn anything that you haven’t purchased on site. No lighter fluid, firelighter blocks etc.
Water
As your pod is off grid, it’s not connected to a mains water supply. We will provide you with bottles of water. For hot water use the stove top kettle to boil it. As we have no showers on site, it’ll have to be a strip wash!!!
Pets
We have 1 pet friendly pod (1 dog max), if you haven’t hired this, please don’t bring your furry friend. The pods sit within the Drumlamford Lochs wildlife area, dogs MUST be kept on a lead. Some of the surrounding fields may contain livestock. Make yourself familiar with the SOAC (Scottish Outdoor Access Code). If your dog leaves a pooy present, pick it up. We’ve got plenty of compostable poo bags. You can compost doggie do do in the same bin as your veggie waste. Please do not leave your dog unattended in the pod.
WE HAVE NO HOT TUBS, NO WIFI, NO GRID ELECTRICITY, NO SHOWERS AND THE MOBILE RECEPTION IS USELESS…
BUT we have a quiet retreat where you can relax and unwind, leave the laptop and phone at home, immerse yourself in the harmony of our little corner of Scotland.
Liability
We accept no responsibility or liability for any damage or injury to any member of your party that may occur whilst you are staying in a pod on site at Laigh Drumlamford. We do have public liability insurance.
Lost property
If you happen to leave something behind, please contact us and we will do our best to return it. This may incur a charge to cover postage costs.
Car Park
There is plenty of room in the car park, please just follow the signs. Our rough farm track is not suitable for large vans or cars with a low ground clearance. We can accept no responsibility for any damage, accidents or losses.
I have read, understood and accept these terms and conditions.
